Frequently asked questions

How is Lumico different from Apple’s Screen Time?

Apple’s Screen Time offers time limits and content restrictions. Lumico focuses on blocking known adult websites and keeping you informed about blocked attempts. Set your own website rules and respond to your child’s requests. You can keep using Apple for time limits.

Is Lumico right for my family?

Lumico is for parents helping their children explore the internet on iPhone or iPad. Each child has their own rules, tailored to your family. To set up a child’s device, you’ll need a child account in Apple Family Sharing.

Is Lumico available for Android or Mac?

Lumico is built for iPhone and iPad. We don’t currently offer an Android or Mac version.

Can I choose which websites are allowed?

Yes. Allow or block individual websites for each child. Add rules that suit your family alongside protection from known adult websites — right from your iPhone.

What does Lumico block?

Lumico blocks known adult websites across browsers and apps, so you don’t have to build that list yourself. Your own website rules add to this protection.

Can my child ask to access a website?

Yes. Your child can send you a request to use a blocked website. You decide whether to allow it from your own device, leaving room for exceptions and decisions you make together.

How do I stay informed?

Get notified about blocked attempts and see them in your weekly report. You can also choose to see search terms from Safari. Private messages and regular browsing history stay private.

Can I set different rules for each child?

Yes. Each child has their own profile and website rules. Manage devices and requests in one place, with one subscription for all your children.

How much does Lumico cost?

One subscription covers all your children. You’ll see the available offers and terms in the app before subscribing.
